Introduction: 

ANH DO WEIRDO  is a comedy because the book talks about funny things but in this book it is talking about splashy weird things. It's about where there's a school swimming carnival. Weirdo enters in a lot of things like the butterfly, backstroke, diving board and doggy paddler. I like the book because it's very interesting and funny.

Characters: 

The characters in this book are Weir and his family and friends like Bella, Henry,Toby roger and hansom but Weir is the main character in this book.

What were the most helpful strategies?

When I was reading this book the pictures helped me tell the text as well as the words were helping me tell this book because there were words that were helping me tell parts of the text. 

-The pictures so that I knew what they were talking about.

-also the pictures can help me with the text and its telling parts about the text

-The words that words are describing the pictures 

My paragraph

The day had finally come. That day had come, Weirdo was dreading it for week’s. Everyone was so excited. Bella is good at freestyle. Roger can’t wait to cheer on the green team. Henry has been practising his backstrokes for week’s although Henry thought that backstrokes meant giving back scratches. Henry also thought that the butterfly meant who could race the fastest with wings. But now Henry knows how to do the real backstroke and the real butterfly. Toby is good at the diving board. But weirdo, he doesn't like any of it. 

But he’s been trying to come out of the swimming carnival. Weirdo said to his dad I have a terrible rash. There's no way that I can go to the swimming carnival tomorrow. His mum and dad sent me to bed early to rest but before having a bath my spots washed off. But mum caught him ‘’hey what happened to your spots.’’?

He took them, said Weirdo.  

This morning I tried something new. An ear infection, Mum somethings wrong with me, I'm really sick. But the granddad walked in. He came up to me and stuck his finger in my ear and pulled the gunk out and licked it! Gross, Ewe said his sister Delicious peppermint toothpaste said his granddad! The next day. Then Weir decided that he wasn't going to race but he still cheered on the green team. IT was so much fun everyone was dressed up in their team colours all of his friends were leading team colours. When weir was ready to go swimming in the races he got in and then he said it’s so cold. Then his friend Toby was going down the slide and then his pants fell down. Then Henry and weir were racing together because the others were already done so it was up to Henry and weir. They both leapt off the wall at the same time. But the others took off at the wrong time they went before the pistol went so they got disqualified.

After the school carnival Weir and his family went to their next door neighbours Bella and weir just wanted to walk because their house is right next door to them. But weir's dad wanted to drive because it was more Fancier but his next door neighbour saw them do u turns. And they thought it was so funny. They all had dinner together and then none of them wanted to do the dishwasher so they had to do a challenge where whoever dropped it first had to do the dishwasher.

I give this book a ten out of ten because I wouldn't change anything about this book

This is a great book because it has a lot of pictures and funny jokes.
